HandsOn Bay Area (HOBA) is proud to announce that Tessa Hedstrom has been named to the post of Program Director.

Tessa joined the HOBA team in October 2006 as an AmeriCorps member. Following two service terms, Tessa was hired on staff as a program manger. Tessa has been the lead account manager for many of our largest corporate service events, managing our partnerships with clients like Google, Gap and Charles Schwab. She has also managed our public calendar of volunteer opportunities in Santa Clara County and supported our large annual service event Be the Change Day. Prior to her work in the nonprofit sector, Tessa taught middle school and high school students P.E., English and coached volleyball. She has her BA from San Francisco State University.
Tessa brings a wealth of knowledge and experience working with both HOBA’s nonprofit and corporate partners.
HOBA is also pleased to announce that Beth Jansson has been named to the position of Senior Program Manager. Beth has been with HOBA for 6 years and adds tremendous experience to the HOBA team along with a great passion for the community. We are delighted to have Beth working in this new capacity.
