Here at HandsOn Bay Area, we’ve had some changes in Program Manager staffing. Read on to see how these changes affect you-- but first, some background:
Tyson Durm started at HOBA as a Corporate Project Leader in 2009. After temporarily serving as Program Manager for three months at the end of 2010, Tyson became a permanent, full-time Program Manager in January 2011. Annie Suzio-Granett may be a familiar face to many HOBA volunteers. Annie started as a Corporate Project Leader at HOBA in 2008, and went on to serve as an AmeriCorps at HOBA from 2009-2010. Annie became a permanent, full-time Program Manager in October 2010.
Tyson and Annie were very excited to work as full-time Program Managers at HOBA. There was just one problem: Tyson lives in Silicon Valley, but managed programs in the San Francisco region, and Annie lives in San Francisco, but managed Silicon Valley programs. This perplexing outcome of events had an evident quick fix.
As of April 5th, 2011, Annie is now the San Francisco Program Manager, and Tyson is the Silicon Valley Program Manager. What does this mean for you? Annie is now the HOBA contact person for all non-profit agencies and community organizations located in San Francisco and the North Bay Area (including Marin and Sonoma counties). As a resident of San Francisco, Annie’s passion for programs in this region extends beyond the HandsOn Bay Area office, and into your backyard. Tyson is now the HOBA contact person for all non-profit agencies and community organizations in the Silicon Valley, including Santa Clara and San Mateo counties. As a resident of Silicon Valley, Tyson is simultaneously managing HOBA programming and improving his community (and yours!)
